Structural steel
The beams and columns that carry the frame
Most steel-framed homes still need hot-rolled steel: a beam over the garage, columns at the open-plan corner, lintels over wide openings. FrameSet fabricates it from the same drawings as the frame and delivers both together, so nothing waits on site.
What we fabricate
- Universal beams and columns, PFCs and RHS/SHS sections
- Lintels, transfer beams and cantilever balcony steel
- Columns with base plates and cap plates, cleats and bolt groups to the engineer's detail
- Portal frames for garages, sheds and light commercial units
- Hot-dip galvanised, primed or painted finish as specified
How we price it
Structural steel is priced from shop drawings, not per kilogram alone. Holes, welds, connections and coating drive the cost, so we quote from the structural set and show the weight and the fabrication separately.

On site
Our install crew sets the columns and beams as part of the frame sequence, with a crane truck booked for the lift. Columns go in with the ground-floor walls; beams follow before the first-floor joists.
